2022 is here, and we have the perfect resolution to propose - healthier skin! Let’s start the year right by creating a strong and balanced skincare routine with our 8 skincare resolutions below:
Using the right face oil for your skin type can give you that glowing glass-like complexion you’ve always wanted. By strengthening our skin barrier, face oils can allow our skin to stay hydrated better. The ideal face oil may help reduce acne and breakouts, minimize the appearance of large pores, even out skin complexion, and can even soothe skin conditions like eczema and rosacea. Pop over to our 30-second skin quiz to find the best face oil for your skin!
Nobody likes a dirty makeup brush, especially your skin. Using dirty makeup brushes can undo all the positive impacts your skincare products are creating. We recommend washing your makeup brushes under warm water on a bi-weekly basis to remove the dirt and bacteria trapped in the bristles. If left unwashed, the dirt on your makeup brushes can become harmful to your skin over time.
You’ve heard it before, sunscreen is not just for those sunny days at the beach! UV damage causes DNA damage to the skin and may be responsible for 80% of visible facial aging signs. Protect that beautiful skin of yours by applying a broad-spectrum sunscreen with at least SPF 30 every single day!
Beautiful skin often starts with the right diet! While occasional junk foods are a must, making a conscious effort to incorporate nutrient-dense foods such as nuts, fish, and veggies in your day-to-day diet can do wonders for your skin!
Fruits with a low glycemic index (meaning they won't spike your blood sugar levels), such as pears, cherries, and grapefruit are a fantastic source of energy and are great for supporting your skin's health. It is very easy to underestimate how much of an effect our diets have on our skin. Even with the ultimate skincare routine, being mindful of food choices is a must.
One of the biggest reasons to switch to a natural skincare routine is because of its use of renewable ingredients that don’t harm plants, animals, or your skin. Synthetic ingredients in cosmetics are often derived from non-renewable and unsustainable ingredients like petroleum.
Many people know that they should use a face exfoliator in their skincare routine but tend to forget that it is important to exfoliate the rest of the body as well.
Exfoliating every other day will help lift away dead skin and help with dry skin, clogged pores, ingrown hair, keratosis pilaris, and more! Try using our exfoliating mitt, followed by our body oilto give you the glowing smooth skin you’ve always wanted.
The order in which you apply your skincare products is nearly as important as the products themselves! For more information, visit: Here’s How You Should Layer on Skincare Products.
When layering, make sure to do it in this order:
Try using our relaxing ice globes from steps 3-6 for the most luxurious self care experience!
Struggle with body acne or unexplained breakouts? The culprit may be closer than you think: your bedsheets! Washing them regularly (Ideally, every 7 days) will reduce your exposure not only to dead skin cells in your bedsheets, but sweat and bacteria as well!
