Contour, lift, and give your skin the glow it deserves with Velvette’s Gua Sha for Facial Massage! The first Gua Sha on the market to feature a scooped edge, this revolutionary scraper is effective at sculpting and targeting hard-to-reach areas of the face and neck. This patented tool is handcrafted from luxurious, natural, healing Bian stone and designed by founders with Chinese roots.
1. Apply face oil first
Applying a face oil first reduces friction from the scraping motion of the Gua Sha. It also helps the Gua Sha glide better for a more smooth and flowing movement! By using the Gua Sha together with face oils, you'll also encourage the oils to penetrate deeper into the skin, for enhanced moisturization!
2. Hold at 45 degrees
45 degrees is the optimal angle for using the Gua Sha. This angle allows for the tool to effectively contour and sculpt the face at just the right amount of pressure - Not too much, not too little.
3. Use light pressure
Gua Sha should never hurt or cause discomfort. After a Gua Sha massage, your face might become more flushed with a tinge of pink, due to increased blood circulation, but it should never be bruised or red. Use gentle pressure and let the tool glide across your skin.
4. Stroke towards the lymph nodes
The lymphatic system is responsible for removing waste and toxins from the body, so stroking towards the lymph nodes can encourage proper lymphatic drainage. Stimulating lymphatic drainage can improve the appearance of skin, reduce puffiness, and promote a healthy glow!
5. Consistency is key
Gua Sha is not a one-time solution for skin concerns, but rather a technique that requires consistent use to achieve the best results. Daily use can help improve skin elasticity, reduce fine lines, even out skin tone, and stimulate collagen production. To see the benefits of Gua Sha, we recommend incorporating it into your daily or weekly skincare routine.

Scrape at a 45 degree angle for best results.
Use just enough pressure to feel relief, but not so much that you leave marks all over your skin. The scraping motion will leave your skin a bit red and flushed due to the increased circulation, but it should subside within minutes.
Avoid scraping over any open wounds, and only scrape once the wound has healed fully.
This is all up to you! Some people use the Gua Sha only a few seconds a day to massage a few trouble spots, and some people like to use it for long thirty minute massage sessions.
The tutorial video is a good guideline on some ways you can use the Gua Sha, but there's no set routine. Do what feels right for you, and feel free to share what works for you with us!
Yes! Our Gua Sha come with a reusable velvet pouch bag.
After you are done your massage, wash the Gua Sha with soap and water, and dry it off with a towel. Place the Gua Sha back in the velvet pouch that it came with and store in a safe place.
Do not use your Gua Sha if it is chipped or broken. Our Gua Sha is made of delicate Bian Stone, so take care not to drop it on hard surfaces and always store it in the velvet protective pouch that it came with when not in use.
If your Gua Sha arrived damage, please contact us as soon as possible at info@lovevelvette.com, and we'd be more than happy to replace it for you!
