Very special gua sha
This kit is a must for fussy skin that tends to oily. I also use it on my special needs son's bacne. I find it calming on rosacea too even though there's another oil called Calming. I've had many gua sha from massage therapists who bring them from China, and this one is very impressive. You feel it working even with the lightest pressure as the stone has strong energy. The video is a good accompaniment as it's paced slowly. I wish I could say more but I lost it after the first use 😕.

treat yourself and be wowed
It's hard to order online and be disappointed with a new product, so this is a perfect way to spend a week or so sampling the different oils. The Velvette young woman on the chat box was very helpful with answering questions and helped me choose. The oils are EXQUISITE. I usually mix my own oils, but I thought I'd try a cosmetic scientist's creation this time.
If you like high end skin care and are wary of fillers, emollients and silicones, try this and you'll have calm and happy skin that gets brighter and smoother over time. And don't miss out on the hair oil, which doesn't weight even fine hair down.

I really like this oil, it has worked well for my 51 year old hormonal skin. I wanted a more natural approach to my skin care and I can honestly say I have noticed a distinct overall improvement in tone and texture since I switched from a retinol based product. Makes My Hair So Soft!
Yesterday was hair washing day so I tested the Premium Hair OIl. I applied the Hair Oil as a mask and left it on while I vacuumed before washing my hair. It absorbed easily. Then I applied the oil after washing as a conditioner. My hair feels so nice today!!! It’s really soft and I have less wild flyaways. It doesn't leave an oily feel. I might be crazy, but I almost think I see a little bit of shine added here and there. My extremely dry, unruly, curly, frizzled hair doesn’t know the meaning of shine, so maybe I really am crazy. My white hair streak is looking glowy. Just think what repeated use will yield! I loved the sample kit. It gave me a chance to feel and smell the products and decide which ones I preferred. I have since purchased the Body Oil and a Night oil for my face. I am sensitive to smells, but the light scent of the various oils is not bothersome at all. I was also surprised/pleased at how little oil it takes once it warms up on your skin.

As mentioned in other comments, the quantity is not enough to see a big difference, but enough to know that I love the sensation on my skin and already feel my skin less dry or sensitive. Not at all. At Velvette, we researched, analyzed, and tested over 200 different plant oils to find perfect combinations that absorbed quickly and left the skin feeling velvety soft.

One drop of oil is just as, or even more moisturizing, than one pump of cream! Think of how much you'd save on your skincare if you switched to oils instead!
Creams typically consist of 60-70% water, 5-10% oils, and numerous other ingredients in trace amounts. Your skin produces oil for moisture and wants more of the right oil. Why are you giving it 40 ingredients in your face cream instead?
Because creams are mostly water, the water content delivered by the cream initially would have provided some hydration to the skin, but evaporates quickly, which is why you'd have to reapply cream over and over throughout the day. However, oils don't need to be reapplied as frequently since they resist evaporation, and will act as a breathable film to help seal in moisture, and protect your skin from the elements!

When designing Velvette's face oils, we made sure to only use ingredients that were low on the comedogenic scale - Meaning they are unlikely to clog your pores! In fact, our Clarifying Face Oil series contain ingredients known to regulate and balance your skin's sebum, and were created specifically for those with oily, blemish prone skin.

Your skin produces different levels of oil (sebum) throughout the day, with sebum levels peaking during the mid-day. Your skin cells also regenerate (cell mitosis) at different rates throughout the day, with the peak around nighttime during sleep.
